Dear Mount St. Joseph Association Families and Friends,
Summer is in full swing, and we appreciate all that our volunteers do for the residents! The Board will be hosting a Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon on Sunday, September 10 from noon – 2:00 p.m. in the large gazebo near St. Clare Cottage. Volunteers, please mark your calendars; you will receive more information in the coming weeks.
Our fundraising season started out with a BANG, as we were part of the NASCAR Giveathon 2023; you have donated over $4900 to support our mission and the many plans we have to provide for the residents of Mount St. Joseph. Thanks to all who participated.
Our Golf Outing on Monday, August 21 at Royal Melbourne Country Club is Officially Sold Out! We reached our capacity much earlier this year, and we are excited to host this event. There are still opportunities for sponsorship: you can find information here.
Later this year, our Virtual Autumn Leaves fundraiser will be tied to Giving Tuesday on November 28.
Birthdays are very important to the residents, so we will be helping them to celebrate in a few ways. We will be sending birthday cards to all of the residents from the Board of Directors. We will also be featuring each resident’s image and birthday in a special 2024 wall calendar that will be available for sale starting this August. The wall calendar and a pocket calendar will be sold as a package for $45. Order forms and information will be available soon on the website and through email. There will be a monthly cash raffle associated with this fundraiser. Details to follow.
We will be celebrating BIG next year, as it will be the Mount St. Joseph Association’s 50th anniversary. The Mount St. Joseph Association was founded in 1974 by a group of parents with a dream and a mission. The Association has done amazing things in the past 50 years! We plan to highlight and celebrate those accomplishments throughout 2024 as we plan for the future.
