Cottage Committee June 2022 Update

Ready, set, go! Let’s get our Cottage Committees launched!

The Guanella Cottage Committee has begun providing periodic weekend activities. The residents have been extremely receptive! And it has been so easy for the volunteers: no fuss and minimal planning!
Guanella residents enjoyed outdoor activities on a recent Sunday afternoon. They blew bubbles, played a beanbag toss game, watered the cottage garden, took a short walk, and cooled off with juice boxes.

The other cottages are at various stages in the process.

  • The Sacred Heart Cottage Committee is expected to begin soon. Some volunteers are still working through the Mount St. Joseph training requirements. Additional volunteers are needed.
  • The St. Joseph Cottage Committee volunteers are working through the Mount St. Joseph training requirements. Additional volunteers are needed.
  • The St. Clare Cottage Committee is composed of two subcommittees due to the size of the cottage. One subcommittee is slated to begin in July. The volunteers of the other subcommittee are working through the Mount St. Joseph training requirements. Additional volunteers are needed for both subcommittees.
  • The Marcellina Cottage Committee has just one volunteer. This volunteer is trained. However, several more Marcellina volunteers will need to step up to make this a functioning Cottage Committee.
