Cottage Committees Update – December 2022

Cottage Committee Update 12:22
Cottage Committee Update 12:22

Make it your New Year’s resolution to start or strengthen your Cottage Committee.

Weekend afternoons, particularly Saturday afternoons, are times when residents are eager to participate in activities. Don’t let your residents miss out: it’s easy! Think what a difference it would make for the residents if all committees offered one or two activities each month!

January Ideas for Your Cottage:

  • NO COST ACTIVITY: How about a good old-fashioned snowball fight? So fun! It’s even better when it is held indoors, and the snowballs are soft! The Mount St. Joseph Association has purchased more than 100 indoor snowballs, which are housed in the Cottage Committees Room (inside the Mount St. Joseph Association Room B, formerly the St. Aloysius dining room). Sign out the snowballs and have a blast!
  • NO COST ACTIVITY: Anytime is a good time for Bingo, but it’s especially appealing on a wintry day. Each Cottage Committee has a brand-new Bingo game inside its Cottage Committee bin. The bin is housed in the cottage for easy access.
  • NO COST ACTIVITY: Pop in an exercise DVD. Cheer on the residents while you get some exercise yourself.
  • LOW COST ACTIVITY: Make hot chocolate with marshmallows (Check for allergies) and chill out together.
