Walk On is back, and we are so glad!
Walk On Farms, located in Barrington, offers opportunities for individuals with disabilities to ride a horse or drive a horse-drawn carriage. Therapeutic riding offers a slew of benefits:
Physical Benefits: balance, coordination, mobility, muscle tone, motor control, sensory integration, and visual/spatial orientation
Cognitive Benefits: attention, communication, judgment, following directions, problem-solving and sequencing
Social Benefits: cooperation, empathy, responsibility, respect, and trust
Emotional Benefits: confidence, motivation, goal-setting and self-esteem
Behavioral Benefits: relaxation and self-discipline
